Why We Love It: In the mid-1700s, after a close call with some pirates, Samuel Weatherhead wound up in Port Elmsley, Ontario where he established a depot controlling the trade on the Tay Canal from the Rideau River into Perth. In 2018, three young families set sail on a business venture together, fueled by their passion for beer and a commitment to building their business and community in the vibrant town of Perth, Ontario. They designed our brewery’s culture, vibe and recipes to reflect Weatherhead’s tenacious and determined spirit. Find Weatherhead at restaurants across Ottawa, doors of the Weatherhead Brewing Company will be open to the public soon.
