Scott ploughs the field by horsepower for pragmatic reasons — it reduces reliance on fossil fuels, the horses are easier on the soil and cause minimal compaction and generate fertility — and it's an enjoyable way of farming.
Charlotte Scott, and her husband Richard Williams, aren't Luddites. They embrace the use of technology mixed with traditional horsepower, thanks to Norwegian Fjord horses, Bart and Buck, on their farm just outside of Wakefield, Québec.
