Fresh off their first year of farming at Rooted Oak Farm in Saint-André-Avellin, Qué., co-owners Nikki Tesar (above) and Stuart Oke are slowly figuring out the quirks of the soil. With several years of farming experience prior to owning their own farm, they realize that building happy and healthy soil is a "marathon not a sprint."
