Today urban element welcomes Montreal Photographers and Illuminated Table Principles Ariel Tarr and Valeria Bismar for an inspiring, creative and intimate food photography workshop.  This first of its kind workshop hosted in our venue is open to all levels – whether you are a budding food blogger, a hobbyist, a photography student or restauranteur – you will learn how to improve your styling and composition skills and receive useful tips on creating easy-to-make studio set-ups.  This workshop is comprised of both demonstration aspects and hands-on practice, where participants can observe both working methods and also gain first hand experience in class.  Topics such as composition, depth of field, white balance (natural light), choosing and sourcing props for food photography, camera and lens choices and trends in food photography will all be explored throughout the day.  Learning in small groups in an intimate setting enables much opportunity for one-on-one coaching and Ariel and Valeria are looking to inspire participants by examining what makes gorgeous food photos.  Find your creative voice and share it with us!  Workshop includes a light continenetal breakfast of freshly baked pastries and coffee/tea, a three course lunch with wine, refreshments available to participants throughout the day.  Space is limited to 10 participants.  DSLR required, tripod optional.  For more information on the photographers, visit : http://theilluminatedtable.ca/

Workshop fee: $250
