Producing award winning premium small batch handcrafted wines.

In 1982 the Lacey family purchased property on Closson Road digging into the Hillier clay-loam soils in 2003 to plant what would become 10 acres and producing their first wines in 2007

Winemaker Kimball Lacey main focus is on hand-crafted, small batch premium wines from their estates vines and is sinking his County roots deeper every year. Kimball’s journey began at Carmela Estates in 2003 as assistant winemaker while also taking the Grape and Wine certificate program at the University of Guelph. In 2007 he joined Closson Chase where he was the associate winemaker with Deborah Paskus. In April 2017 he left Closson Chase to concentrate on Lacey Estates.

Liz Lacey runs the well-appointed tasting room as the retail manager while Kimball’s father Charles Lacey is the CEO at 92.

Kimball and Liz’s three children also lend a helping hand not only in the vineyard and retail but in winemaking as well. They look to provide their children with a wealth of knowlege and skills for the bright future ahead of them. Emily Lacey being the youngest of the three recently graduated from Niagara College in the Wine & Viticulture Technician program.
