Michael George started Aurelius Food Co. while still serving in the military as an answer to his uncle's question during a family dinner in Sacrofano, Italy in 2016: Would Canadians be interested in this olive oil?

With this question, Mike decided he was going to make it happen. For 2 years Mike did small popups at bakeries and local markets on weekends. After getting out there and networking, he was lucky enough to start selling to a few top restaurants in Ottawa (Riviera, e18hteen, Whalesbone). Then in 2018, he decided to leave the military and open a retail tasting boutique in Wellington West.
