An independent coffee shop and boutique coworking space.

A community-centred space where working professionals and coffee enthusiasts can connect and collaborate.

Owners, Kaitey and Kevin Cosgrove moved to Carleton Place from Orleans in 2016 with the thought that it would be an affordable alternative to city living – and the commute couldn’t be that bad to their jobs in public service. However, the more time the couple spent sharing pints with new friends at the local craft brewery, or chasing kids around the beach at Riverside Park, it became clear to them that this was where they would set down their roots.

Their first business venture in Carleton Place was a seasonal ice cream truck (built in a converted horse trailer) serving ice cream at Riverside Park. After some time in that business the couple decided to leave their government jobs, sold the ice cream truck (RIP ChillZone613), and began a career in real estate. They started the Cosgrove Real Estate Group in 2020 and were looking for a commercial space to house their office when they found out about the old vacuum shop possibly being for sale. Kevin and Kaitey Cosgrove purchased the building that housed the vacuum shop in the summer of 2021 and opened Foundry Collective & Coffee Bar in 2023. Kaitey and Kevin both share a passion for good coffee and chocolate chip cookies.
