Franberry Baking
Franberry Baking was created in February 2022 by owner and baker Frances Prime. Starting from her home and eventually growing into pop-ups and markets.
Frances is a self-taught baker who grew up in Ottawa, ON. She spent a lot of time baking as a child and always said she'd open a bakery when she grew up. After high school, she received her 200 yoga teacher training certificate and later went to Algonquin College to study Fitness and Health Promotion.
In the winter of 2022, she found herself with some free time and decided it was the time to open a business! She spent a few weeks recipe testing, ordering packaging and setting up the company before launching on February 4th, 2022 for Valentine's Day! She also loves working with kids and works part-time as a nanny.
The name "Franberry" comes from a nickname that the owner's best friend started calling her in high school. When she was looking for a name to use on Instagram, it seemed like a fitting name for a vegan bakery! She has been vegan since her 17th birthday, so naturally, the business is vegan as well!
